2010 buick enclave review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The enclave is aimed at the upper end of the crossover segment, with competitors that include the acura mdx, lexus rx 350 and mercedes-benz r350. what sets enclave apart is its modern cabin, with stylish illumination, crisp graphics, genuine wood trim and nice leather. The seats are comfortable, and it can be ordered with a second-row bench seat or luxurious captain's chairs, depending on whether seven- or eight-passenger capacity is needed. Smooth and practical, it's a superb vehicle. for 2010, there are only minor changes. An optional 20-inch chrome alloy wheel package with p255/55hr20 tires is available. A usb port included with premium sound systems is located in the center console and the standard onstar 8. 2 system has enhanced capabilities. lineupthe 2010 buick enclave is offered in cx and cxl trim levels, each with front-wheel drive (fwd) or all-wheel drive (awd). Enclave cxl is also available with awd 40,630). options include a trailer towing package 455), second-row center console 300), moonroof 1,400), audio, navigation and entertainment systems, wheel upgrades and paint upgrades. safety features that come standard include dual front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain side airbags with rollover deployment, onstar emergency communications (with turn-by-turn navigation), tire-pressure monitor, anti-lock brakes and stabilitrak electronic stability control with traction control and rollover mitigation. All-wheel drive enhances safety in slippery conditions. walkaroundthe exterior design of the buick enclave is more elegant and refined than that of the gmc acadia, which is deliberately truck-like. The enclave carries the latest buick design language. All of the front lighting elements use clear lenses, with lots of different elements to please the eye and light the road. Everything under the bumper is kept simple and clean to draw the eye to that massive grille. The standard tires are 18-inches on seven-spoke alloy wheels, with 19-inch and 20-inch wheels and tires optional, and the big wheel and tire packages certainly add to the visual punch of the enclave. The roof and the side windows are done in a gracefully decreasing sweep from front to rear, accented by bright-metal roof bars that follow the roof's curvature perfectly front to back. out back, the top-hinged tailgate with standard power opening and closing is a work of art, with the rear glass extending beyond the sheetmetal into the rear opening. The rear glass is quite large, and is convex-shaped, coming to a point just above the buick tri-shield logo and above the wide-screen taillamps. Under the rear bumper is a diffuser panel and dual exhausts with bright tips, making for one of the tastiest rear-end treatments in the crossover segment. interiorthe cabin is what sets the buick enclave apart from other seven- and eight-passenger crossovers. Starting with the double-wave dashboard and instrument panel and going all the way back to the rear cargo floor, it's as modern as tomorrow and as functional as a swiss army knife. the chrome-ringed white-on-black instruments and analog clock are highly styled, with a soft blue-green illumination and halo lighting at night. The graphics are large and clear, and the wood is real. On the cxl version, the steering wheel is leather and mahogany, with 10 switches and controls mounted on it for easy use. The dead pedal on the far left of the floor is the first one we know of to be specially designed for use by women wearing high-heeled shoes. the rearview camera projects on the rearview mirror when the vehicle is not equipped with navigation. In a messy chicago winter, the camera lens became speckled with dirt and salt, making the image hard to see in the rearview mirror. A larger image on the navigation screen would have been easier to see and more helpful. Or, there's a second-row bench seat for a 2-3-3 seating scheme and a total of eight occupants. either way, the driver and front-seat passenger have power seats. The third row is usable for more than just kids; it has enough headroom for adults, and legroom is good for kids and fair for adults. Three kids will fit across, but three adults will find it tight. Only small kids will find the third row comfortable for long trips, though, because the seat bottoms sit too low to provide full thigh support. the enclave gets high marks for storage space and flexibility. There's 23. 2 cubic feet of cargo room just inside the power tailgate behind the third row, 67. 5 cubic feet with the third-row seats down and 115. 3 cubic feet with both rows folded. Up front, the enclave has storage on top of the dash for sunglasses, ipods, and cell phones. Buick claims a zero-to-60-mph acceleration time in the low eight-second-range, not bad for 5,000 pounds. By comparison, the awd cadillac escalade is rated at 12/18 mpg. The buick folks have taken dozens of time-consuming and expensive steps to quiet down the engine, transmission, all-wheel-drive system and tires, to isolate the front and rear suspensions and steering from the cabin and to wrap the entire package in sound-deadening materials in the floor, pillars and doors, all under the heading of quiettuning. Conversations between first-row and third-row occupants at 70-plus mph were heard and understood in normal speaking voices, and the xm satellite music played through loud and clear at reasonable volumes. the suspension on the enclave is far more sophisticated, far sharper in handling and far more compliant and comfortable than what we've come to expect from this class of vehicles. The rear suspension is especially effective, and uses elaborate aluminum h-arms to put the wheels out as far as possible to the corners and allow for a wide, flat load floor. bustling around on ozark mountain two-lane roads or humming down i-44 and i-64 in and around st. Louis, the enclave displayed a commendable blend of ride and handling capabilities.

Don't be fooled by the wolf in sheep's clothing. This limited version is one of only 1035 built with the turbo lc-2 option. This white regal has the 3. 8 sfi turbo engine adding this option was an added cost of $1,422 to the limited base price of $12,303 back in 1987. The 3. 8 sfi turbo engine produced 245 horsepower at 4,400rpm with 355 lbs. Of torque all fed by sequential fuel injection and a 4 speed automatic was the only available transmission option. Not to mention special acoustic insulation, the 3. 42. 1 performance axle ratio, the aforementioned hood and special instrumentation cluster featuring an led tachometer and a boost gauge, and a trip odometer. The one change to the interior dash is the addation of a jvc cd/ stereo system. This regal has power windows and locks, a trunk release button in the glove box, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, t-tops and factory air conditioning! Including the factory aluminum wheels that are in the trunk ready to go! This turbo limited-t has a 2 1/2 inch hooker exhaust, 3 inch down pipe, a bigger turbo ta y9, blue top injectors. New brakes, shocks, fuel pump, radiator,egr valve, air intake system, billet rims. Brand new tires cooper lifeliner gls 205/70r15 on the front and cooper cobra radial g/t 's 107t. P275/60r15 on the rear for that mean look. Back in the day the limited regal played second string to the grand national. This car is a sleeper "the wolf in sheep's clothing" ! Very nice non-modified 1984 buick riviera! The odometer on this white exterior and blue cloth interior buick shows 85,406 miles. Amenities include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: 5. 0 liter v8 engine with automatic transmission; am/fm cassette radio; mph and fuel gauges; clock; power brakes and steering; power window, locks, and seats; tilt; air conditioning; rear defrost; and landau top. The tires are a matched set of firestone affinity p215/75r15 radials in excellent condition mounted on steel wheels with buick wire hubcaps. . Mechanical: the engine starts easily, idles smoothly. The transmission and clutch work well and shift easily, while the brakes pull the car to a straight stop. The steering is smooth, easy and tracks straight down the road. We were advised that the lights, horn and gauges are all in working order. The numbers-matching engine and everything under the hood is correct and original. Exterior: the body is in good to very good condition with no rust, rust repair or door dings. We found all the body panels are original with the fit and gaps perfect. The car has been repainted in its original white color and is in good condition. The paint has “orange peel†in the surface and a few tape lines where the moldings were taped off for painting. The exterior stainless/chrome trim pieces are in good condition but there are minor scratches and ding, while the front bumper has been hit and bent. The blue vinyl landau top is dry and cracked. The glass is like new with no scratches or chips. Interior: the original blue cloth upholstery is in very good condition. The seats are showing no wear. The door panels still look new as do the carpets. The dashboard and gauges are in excellent condition as is the wiring, rubber seals and gaskets. The interior stainless/chrome trim pieces all appear to be original with normal wear, but there are cracks in the steering wheel. Engine compartment: the all original engine and engine compartment are clean with very little corrosion. Chassis: the undercarriage is all original. It is dirty and oily with some surface rust on the frame and suspension parts, but there is no rust in the floor pans.
